The Rev Fr James William Geen (1950 – 2026)
Fr Jim’s funeral will take place on Thursday 12th November 2026 at 2pm at St Oswald’s Church, Cargill Road, Maybole, KA19 8AF. The service will be a Funeral Mass celebrated by the Bishop of Glasgow and Galloway, the Rt Rev Dr Nicholas Bundock.
Fr Jim served as our Priest-in-Charge from 2017 to 2023 at a pivotal moment as we discerned our ministry as an independent charge. He brought a dedication to faith and prayer that helped to nourish and grow our congregation and his commitment to pastoral care and quick sense of humour soon made him a friend to many in the wider Maybole and Carrick community.
Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
