The Rev Jim Geen leads the congregation into the church with the new Paschal candle at the Easter Vigil 2023.
On Easter Sunday, 9 April 2023, as well as celebrating the greatest festival in the Christian year, we gave thanks for the ministry of the Rev Jim Geen as he presided at his final service as our Priest-in-Charge. Jim was appointed Priest-in-Charge in June 2017 following the dissolution of the South Ayrshire Team and the establishment of St Oswald’s as an independent congregation. Although already retired, Jim agreed to take on the role of Priest-in-Charge on a part-time basis and his leadership has helped St Oswald’s grow as a community of faith.
Following the Easter Sunday service, a lunch was held in the church hall and a cheque was presented to Jim on behalf of the congregation as a token of thanks. Please pray for Jim as he begins this new phase in his retirement.
