We had another successful week in Maybole Charity shop from Saturday 10 – Friday 16 November with a total of £1510 being raised! As usual, this will be shared equally between St Oswald’s Church funds and Save the Children. The charity shop week is always one of our biggest fundraisers but is also a great opportunity to speak to locals about our church and our upcoming Christmas celebrations. Thanks go to all those who donated things for the shops and helped run the shop, especially Petko, who coordinated our rota and was in the shop every day.
At the end of the week, a number of winter coats, scarves, gloves and hats were left over. Becky Fleming took these to Glasgow to donate to Human Appeal’s ‘Wrap Up Glasgow’ appeal. These will be given to the homeless, vulnerable women, children and the elderly as winter approaches.
